i'm not surprised they went out of business if that is the sort of items they were selling .... . . . :)

come on , really ? , why would you even bother to try to notate this , noise , i think its more a visual ' performance ' theatrical stunt .

i wonder what signor Bottesini would have made of this :eek:...... . . . . . . .:eyebrow:

(in the second part ,in bar 297 , i think he played an a flat , instead of an a natural ..... ! )

It isn't for everyone, Barry doesn't need any defense, like his work or not he is technically leagues beyond most bass players (check some of the Biber pieces in the sidebar, for starters).
I think what might be missed is that the specific pitches still remain important it is just that texture, rhythmic development (as opposed to fixed time signatures) and gesture get equal weight.
The scores do specify pitch and it matters as much as in any other composition.
