Bartolini P-Bass Swap - Foam Question

Hello,

I have a P Bass with 'Fender Original 62' pick-ups and I decided to swap them for Bartolini 8Ss.

I noticed however that the Fender pick-ups have a whole stand-alone shield plate with foam under them already.

This plate+foam seems to be too high for the Barts, which are larger pickups. I could not get them low enough.

My question is what foam I now should get to make them fit. [This invalid link has been removed]

If you are anywhere near an upholstery shop, see if they have any seat foam (car, motorcycle) scraps they might part with. It is dense and doesn't lose its springiness. I use the foam from an old Heley seat, and it is good stuff.
