It has changed, the way fretless changes things, maybe not so much from the material--I'm not certain.

There are some great basses listed here, but a long time ago I fell in love with a 3 tone sunburst Fender Precision with rosewood fretboard and tort p/g.

There might be more striking and better sounding basses but that was the prettiest and nothing has changed my mind so far.

If I ever have another bass built, I'm going to have this Elvis "Caddy" Pink copied, although it will probably be a P bass.
