Bass Builder Recommendations

I wanted a beaten-up looking OLD OLD OLD Fender Precision sunburst bass.. I guess like Jaco's.. no disrespect... but wanted one built by a builder.. I figure it might be cheaper.. I can get Nordstrand pickups from the start.. and perhaps decent bridge and tuners.. btw, any recommendations for tuners and bridge? I was thinking badass.. or Gotoh.. not yet sure..

I was wanting someone to copy an old P-bass.. but have it be new, with an extreme worn-in look.. I would like sincere responses, please.. I have come to love this site, but I can already predict the smartass responses of "drag a bass behind your car, etc.." I am laughing now, ahead of time, on behalf of those smartass responses I hope not to get.

Thanks so much!

hi, I am not a Jazz bass guy.. I love them, own one also.. I am into Precision.. so, that's a good question.. which is why I said no disrespect.. because I know Jaco played a Jazz.. I love the precision neck (I think Jaco played some Jazzes with P-necks, though).. so I am strictly a Precision type of player.. I love their feel , sound, etc.. just not their insane prices.

I am going to recomend you try Certainbass. Dave seems to know his stuff and his prices are more than reasonable. I'll be ordering from him some time in the new year. I have spoken to him about his builds and he is the type of builder that I want to support.
