Bass for Big Hands?

I've been looking to upgrade for some time now, though these days a lot of bass necks are thinner than a snake in a sugarcane field.

I play 5'ers and 6'ers mostly, as the neck is more comfortable for my large hands, though none of the axes are mine. I'd like you guys to recommend me some decent broadnecks, 5 or 6 string, good for punk to jazz and under 800 bucks.

I don't know about others but one bass line that I find pretty hefty is the Yamaha RBX series. I have a five string from this family but I never use it as my beloved fender jazz is just way more suited to me. I'm not sure how others find them but for me, they feel a little thick.

Warwicks are supposed to have pretty beefy necks on them and you could get a very respectable rock bass for 800 dollars.

Ibanez BTB. 35" scale, and nice wide string spacing. The string spacing on my 5'er feels like that of 4 string.

Get a Warwick with the broad neck option. Big chunky Warwick neck with friggin' 20mm spacing, you could land aircraft on the fretboard. By Broad Neck thumb was painful and I wear an XL glove.

Yamaha TRB 1006 (or, even better, an older used TRB 6 if you can find one): 35'' scale, wide string spacing, the neck isn't too thin, and it is very versatile.
You can find some used TRB 1006s for as little as 600 euros.

Ibanez also produces some nice cheap 6 strings, but their necks are quite on the thin side so I'd recommend trying one out to see if it suits your taste.

fattish neck, sounds great. i play one in a jazz standards crew so the sound can be adjusted to fit all sorts...just a touch above your price range but you can find 'em for $850-950.
