Joe Jackson's "Look Sharp" album has always been a favorite of mine. Really fun baselines - right out front. I've been fortunate to see Graham Maby play some of these in person a few times as well

Don’t know if this would be considered bass forward, but the bass definitely drives it. One of my all time favorite bass lines.
