Hi.

Yep, many threads about the subject. Not the easiest to find with the search though.

Any device that can deliver the RMS voltage that the power amp needs will be "enough". IOW the output of the "device" have to equal the sensitivity of the amp.

A few years ago I gigged with Yamaha FX500 guitar processor feeding a half broken HH power amp. Plenty of power and decent sound.
