Bass head with knobs on top

The most effective way to keep spilt beer out of your pots is with front facing knobs.
In other news, the only way to access your knobs when a bunch of other stuff has been piled on top of your amp is front facing knobs.
Face those knobs FRONT please. :D
Since a highly respected amp designer is in the chat, I feel a need to say that I will never buy another amp with up facing knobs. Head or combo.

No never!! You lose to much Bass that way.
Nothing a bass knob can't handle.

I'd argue the most effective way to keep spilt beer out of your pots is to keep the beer away from the head/amp in the first place.

If you find a simple pleasing way to indicate to everyone in the world that a drink should never go there, regardless of the gig, or even if an amp is just set in the corner of a room unused, let me know (liquids other than beers or even beverages count too)
And what about just dust and other airborne particulates?
Any scientific or technical justification for top mounted knobs being anything but terrible is welcomed by me.
Even in practical use, knobs being at the back of the top is just awful.
GK210mb user here. I mostly like the amp, but the knob placement sucks.
I thought the knob placement was just for clean looks and/or slight manufacturing cost savings.
I'm shocked that anyone might prefer knobs be on top for reasons besides aesthetics.

Nope, that’s more of a perception thing because you are hearing the mids more clearly.

Correct, much of this is perception rather than reality. When you are far enough off axis, you loose the mids on up which makes it appear that you have more bass (but you really don’t.
I know this to be true. At home I sit my cabinet on an angled rack facing toward my head when I stand to practice. If I sit down, the more directional higher frequencies pass over my head and the bottom end is much more prominent. Without any change to my settings the difference is very obvious. The same things happens if I step to the side - more bottom, less highs.

Somebody should tell just about every pedal manufacturer. I don't think they got the memo. In more than 50 years of playing I've never had any liquid spilt into my stuff. I take a very militant attitude to any beverage in close proximity to my gear. It can be done.

For some reason, people don't try to put drinks on the top of pedals.
