While most of us can probably play some technically impressive lines, it seems that the most memorable bass lines are quite simple. When you think of a song like under pressure from queen, the bass line is what stands out. What other songs would you say have similar attributes, with a simple bass line standing out? I use the word simple to describe the technical aspects of the line, but believe the creative process that results in such lines comes as a result of having a great ear and an ability to create what will fit best with the other instruments. That part is not that simple. What do you think?
