I've seen a bunch of videos from various years of that festival. It looks like it might be worth the airfare!

His playing is good, but I much prefer the original. I like fingerstyle funk, and am not a fan of slapping and popping. The original takes the groove and beats you with it. This version is missing that for me.

As a complete aside, a few months ago, I was hired to play in a showcase for a female vocalist, and had to learn this version (same festival, different year) of Elton John's 'Sad Songs'. What a blast to play in a 6 piece band!

It's hard for me to pick because I automatically tend to listen for the bass on a song. I was going to add Rebel Rebel but it doesn't really qualify as bass driven the more I think about it
