Great tune...keyboard bass though....heard it live with bass guitar before but not the studio. So many great Bootsy lines to choose!

Bootsy is on drums on this track and Bernie is playing the bass line on a mini-moog. That is why I thought it was a good response to the OP. A simple line that walks down and then back up again but is almost guaranteed to make you dance. A lot of Bootsy's lines are so syncopated and have so many effects that I wouldn't consider them as a reply to the original post. Check out Skeet Curtis and Dennis Chambers playing it in double time if you wanna hear a bass guitar bassing it.
