For RATM, I'd probably give it to "Take the Power Back" or "Bullet in the Head."

"Freedom" is my all time favorite RATM song to play on the bass

And I'll pull this one completely out of left field... One of the few songs I'll admit I have trouble saying I like.... pretty sure it's just because it has some memories attached... and what I think is one of the most brilliant of simple, completely underrated bass lines....

I love the 70s. That's the decade that made me a bass player. Born in any other decade I think I'd have chosen a different instrument.

Great song. I've always been amazed at the groove they can attain with such simple lines. "Bulls on Parade" just jams so hard, and all at is is playing a pattern between the root and octave. Two damn notes (technically, the same note). That's it.

Yeah, so deceptively simple at first, until you gain a greater respect for subtle shifts in tone and playing dynamics within a given song.
