So my Shoreline Gold partscaster has been sporting a Pau Ferro FB and a gold anodized guard, but I recently acquired a 2003 Highway One precision neck and decided to swap them, and to go with a parchment pickguard. The neck looks great, but the pickguard is WHIIIIITTTEEEE!!! I’m pretty disappointed in the look. Should I try to age it, or just throw it in the parts bin?

Bass makeover… pickguard is disappointingly white.

Here is a full body shot with the white pickguard. Just seems so bright and white… I thought parchment was supposed to be more off-white.
Yeah, that’s 100% white. You sure that whoever you bought it from didn’t send you the wrong color by mistake?
Doesn't look like parchment (agree with OP that it's white) to me but does look darned good with the gold (and I'm not a big fan of gold).
I think it looks great, too. But you may want to consider a cream pickguard, really lean into the off white.

You may as well try one of those slightly minty guards from Fender USA.
Fender parchment is a white that is just a hair lower in tonality, not a warm color. It's a very nice subdued white without looking yellow. And it ages very nicely over the years, getting realistically warm and classy looking, without being overly "molded in" yellow/cream – i.e. cheap looking.
The bass looks beautiful as is, and that doesn't look "white-white" to me. The only changes I would make would be to scrape the bevel into a flatter angle, then smooth and polish the bevel – and finally, install bridge and pickup covers.

It doesn't look bad. It's not "my style". If you don't like it, you always have the option to get a custom pickguard from one of the custom shop dealers online.
Seems fine to me. I think you’re looking at it way too much 
Lowendblues is right , go with mint green / parchment .........that's the ticket.
I think it looks pretty sweet. I like it better than the gold.
I have to agree...I can do without regular tort, but red tort definitely works with some basses.
Looks perfect to me...Classy and like a Fender Custom Shop.
