Oops. A classic touring rock-band blunder. I remember The Romantics playing a college in Virginia and they came out and the singer started with "Hello West Virginia!". The review in the college newspaper read: "fewer people would have left if the building was on fire."

Tell somebody the visible light spectrum and the phenomenon of refraction pre-date the existence of all human beings entirely, and watch them lose their minds.
Prove it.
I sincerely believe most people under our latitudes are good people, regardless of where and when exactly.
However given the right type of propaganda (and the right amount of external influence) they can be turned against anyone up to and including their own brothers (or even themselves, come to think of it), as history showed us several times again very recently.
Unfortunately I don't think most will listen this time around either, so it's bound to come again cyclically forever it seems.

In any case I certainly don't see fingerpointing or self-flagellation as productive or deserved.
