Unfortunately, it doesn't predate '70s Sunday morning TV in Milwaukee. Bowling for Dollars and Polka Party. Perfect hangover cures. NOT.
Still better than a flight I was on from London to Amsterdam. The Scottish footy side inexplicably beat the Orange 1:0 in the first of a home-and-home in the Euro qualifiers. Coach was loaded with kilts. Half way over the channel, the bagpipes came out. The flight attendants disappeared. I'd of almost rather had Snakes On The Plane.
And then karma happened...

Scotland 0
I watched the match in the massive lobby bar at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam. 3 goals in the first half. 3 in the second. Much happiness in the room. And then 5 guys in kilts walked in. Place went quiet. The biggest of the five walked up to the bar and proclaimed quite loudly:
Six bloody lucky goals. FIVE beers!
And then the place went up for grabs. Much drinking ensued!
