Wanting to mike a full range cab gives a big clue on the incompetence/lack of experience/stupidity of the guy.
I always do that joke to bands : "do you want me to mike the monitors?"
The guy actually did that : miked your monitor......
BTW I'm also using a coax box as my bass monitor , big fan.
