Bass-midi converter?

I believe that is possible in Reaper. Not sure if it can be done real time, but it's possible to change an analog recorded signal to midi, and Reaper has a notation function I've never tried. Might be a cheaper solution for ya. And Reaper is awesome for recording and DIRT cheap. (free trial also)

Looking for a converter for bass guitar-to-midi for the purpose of writing music notation as I play. Sonuus had one (about $100) on the market for a few years, and it seems now that the poorly-reviewed item has been discontinued. Is there another maker with an inexpensive unit to use between a bass guitar and Sibelius notation software on a Mac?
Not looking to use for performance or exotic other-than-bass sounds... just want something that will accurately track the note and send it to the software.
Scorecloud studio is a notation siftware program which has the feature build in. Just hook up any audio interface (apogee jam is cheap). And there you are. Another way is to record your track in Logic Pro X, pull up the pitch correction. In the edit space you’ll see midi information over the transients. Select all and copy them, paste them in a midi track, and it’s best to qauntize your midi track first, or you might end up with a complicated 32th or 64th… notes score. Export the midi and import it in Sibelius.
In Scorecloud i think you can even set the subdivision to which it should grid.

But to be honest: I’ve gotten faster and faster just writing it down myself, like I did before. And my ears and insights have gotten a lot better doing so. Al the hassle of correcting, exporting midi etc…I chose to leave the seemingly ‘easy’ path. Now I look at it as a part of studying music. There’s just a lot more advantages for a musicians training that way.
