Bass nightmares

and the random slice of quiche in the background of each dream is your mother.
My mother was killed in a freak quiche accident. I had almost gotten over the pain and anguish and then... and then... this!!!

I have dreams where I am being chased by an angry dish of tuna noodle casserole. No one can seem to hear my desperate cries for help and the tnc keeps shouting "I was made by a famous chef in a trailer park."
And it's no more than you deserve, you TNC-hater, you...

OP: let me guess... you haven't been wearing your tinfoil hat, have you... These kinds of dreams are just the beginning. THEY are trying to take over your mind...:rollno:

In the times past when I was without a bass, I would always dream of finding one for sale and not having the cash to buy it.
Now once in a while I will have a dream of being about ready to go on stage and realizing that I don't know the songs. (Which is actually true. I suck) It seems to be in the dreams that I told someone I play bass a little, and they always think I am being modest, but I was being honest.

Wow, I just dreamed last night some guy was sawing the headstock off my PJ bass! when I confronted him What the f..., he just ran off, and I tried to get him but my legs felt like lead. I looked at my bass and it was a headless p bass! Woke up fast breathing

The first time I had someone want to peek under the hood, they tried right away to steer me into the "it's all your parent's fault" BS. When I told him I loved my folks and we had a good relationship he accused me of being in denial and wanted to hypnotize me to ferret out the truth.
What a complete knob.

I already had my dream bass taken from me, and it sucked. A lot. But I got over it and got a newer version. Then a house fire took half my gear. That sucked a lot too.

I would at least make sure you're insured and have comprehensive pictures and associated serial numbers etc. It won't take away any of the sting, but it'll compensate you and help you move on and learn to love a new bass.

Hey everyone,

I have been having nightmares about my bass being stolen, crushed to bits, shrunk and whatever else, for years now. Has anybody here ever had this? Or am I just crazy?
Yes.

I have bass dreams/nightmares frequently.

Most of them are that my basses fall apart in ways that basses could never fall apart. Like the wood splits completely between the front and back. For some strange reason those dreams are often about Warwicks also (I've owned a few, but I've owne lots more other brands). Non existent Warwicks. Like I got some sort of killer deal on one, and then it just sort of disintegrates and falls apart of me.

I have dreams too that I trade one bass for many, thinking I got some sort of awesome deal, and either misplace those basses, find out the basses I got were garbage (and I can't trade back), or just realize I made a really horrible mistake for one reason for another.

The weirdest thing for me in these dreams is the emotion behind them. They're not really nightmares, but they're full of an icky feeling of remorse, regret, loss... fun feelings like that.

I have bass nightmares regularly. Mostly about oversized fish out to get me.

Last night I had a mobster out to get me for some reason. Then some young dude wanted to join my side and help but he kept tossing hand grenades everywhere. :wacky:
