Bass Photography! Part 2

Hi Chef

It is a viola bass I designed and had built for me. Never liked the Hofners much, they just felt kind of cheap to me, although McCartney always got a great sound out of them.

I had the electronics from a Variax Line 6 bass put in and it is a very versatile sounding bass.

The build details are here if you are interested:

Thanks for the kind words!

P.S. My friend Keith Roscoe did the finish work for me.

Best,

Wow

I have to say - I love it when someone uncovers an older thread like this one. What a beautiful collection of instruments and photography.

A nice way to spend the last 1/2 hour or so looking at all of this wonder.

Best,

I agree with you 100%, BassHappy. :)

It really was memory-stirring to see all the nice bass shots that you've forgotten about.

I haven't taken any bass photos lately, but I'll try again soon.

I do have a photo I took and posted here back in 2009.

I went through all 41 pages of this thread, and it hasn't been posted here.

Allow me once again to submit my ceramic frog on my Ibanez EDA905F, slightly edited in Lightroom.

Mike ;)
