Bass Photography!

Hello TB'ers,

I was just hangin' out in my living room when I noticed my BN6 drenched in afternoon sunlight, and it got me taking few fresh pics of my bass.

I'd like to invite everyone to share the very best of what they've seen, in bass photography. By no means setting any standard...here's my one and only BN6 taken with my point and shoot 35mm...

Here's the original post to remind folks that this is not intended to be a 'show your bass thread'. There are a couple of other threads where you can do that. This is meant to showcase great photo's of basses.

Now if you have a great photo of your bass it also is a way to show your bass, but a shot of a bass, sitting on a gaudy sofa with reflected flash, etc, isn't exactly the very best in bass photography IMHO; no matter how cool the color is!!

Rant over:D

true-dat! :D

Great collection.. What year was your Stingray?.. and I hope the Nikon was worth it ;-)

March 1977 - a real 100% original corker !

SUPER COOL CAMERA... BUT ALL OF THEM?????????????

Yep, didn't see the point in hogging them all, as I don't play in a band any more. Now there are another 8 happy bassists out there :D.

a pimp d700 can run $3500 and more...

True enough. Now that I've added a few lenses, the total value is getting close to that of my former bass collection :(. Still, I'm a better photographer than I was a musician (although that's not really saying much :atoz:), so I can live with that ;).

Ok....let me get this straight.
You sold all of your basses?
Including the coolest bass that I've ever seen, your stealth Jazz?

Nah, your just messing with us.

:p Nope, not messin' - all sold!

The black bass in the picture is actually my StealthRay, which was broken down to make the JazzRay, which I still have and will probably never sell :smug:.

I still have three really great basses at home, though. A pair of Fender CS P Basses and the JazzRay. Here's an old pic, which barely qualifies for inclusion in this thread. Must get the D700 out and have a go at an updated portrait :p.
