BASS PLAYERS Matter : )

You obviously never played in the metal scene before...:rollno:
Nope, not going to. I've covered

Rock and roll (but not the cookie monster screamo metal stuff)
Jazz from 1917 to 2017
Bluegrass
Country
Folk
I've touched on the corners of several "Latin" genres
I've played the Brandenburg Concertos on double bass
I've played a ton of classical music on flute and piano

And the bass is always considered highly important.

So you have your one genre where YOU think people don't care about bass players; and I've been told that bass in Irish traditional sessions also doesn't really go; and that's kind of it.

I should've known those who don't know me personally , would think it's My personal experiences as a Bass player since 1975 .
(METAL BASS PLAYERS MATTER)
is written in a nonfiction format
90% of it is me being funny using IRONY .
I've played or been influenced by , you name the genre , and every band from A to Z. - Z - A. and to this very day I still do.
I'm know as a Metalhead but I'm not JUST or only
that , I'm a BASS PLAYER 1st .
The post is a 1st draft of a 3 min Acceptance Speech for being Inducted into an Eastern Pa.
R&R museum as a Bass player not as a METAL BASS PLAYER. .
So now , I hope I've made myself crystal clear if not read my post again.
Thanx for your reply

I think everything I own has been stolen and replaced with an exact replica. I told my wife about it and she said, "Do I know you?"....

Kafka called. Schrodinger told him he found his cat in both cities. The dickens, you say.

And this, boys and girls, is why it's important to pay attention in eighth grade English composition class...

TB member: "I like to stand behind the drummer's left shoulder so I can watch their hands. I stand behind the spots. I don't sing, not even backing vocals. I wear comfortable shoes because I think I am standing longer and harder than the singer or guitar player. I prefer to blend into the scrim and just focus on playing my line without interacting with the audience. I am unfairly ignored just because I am a bass player."

Act like you're in the band and act like people are there to see you and hear you and just like magic you're not ignored.

Do This...
