Alan Fitzgerald (played bass for Montrose and then keys for Sammy Hagar, Night Ranger, and VH live circa 1991-1993)
Jimmy Bain (played keys in the studio with Dio and in the studio and on tour with Phil Lynott)
Maurice Gibb (played most of the keyboards on all the Bee Gees records apart from when Blue Weaver was in the band in the '70s; later abandoned the bass and focused on keys)

Memphis Slim (was considered a superb blues double bass player before deciding to focus on the piano full-time in the late '40s)
