Bass products that you wish would exist

I am pretty sure at some point everyone has been looking for bass gear that simply doesn‘t exist (yet). So why not collect some ideas for gear or other bass related products that you would like to buy?

I start with this: I would really like to have a bass preamp/DI in the style of the Sansamp/Darkglass/etc. products, but with only one tone knob that blends between a scooped slap and a more midrange heavy Ampeg style sound instead of having to deal with 4-5 tone controls (like bass/lowmid/highmid/treble/presence). Quite similar to the Peavey Piranha guitar mini head. Important: That knob should be a stepped control (or even better something like a Loknob) to make settings reproducible.

A pan pot that would 100% solo each pickup at either end of its travel. Two versions, actually, one active, one for passive pickups.

I've seen Precision wired up with EMG's, a volume pot and the EXB. For some, it's just the ticket with only two knobs.

Real blend pots do that. A real blend pot works exactly like a Jazz bass VVT electronically. At either extreme one PUP is completely grounded and the other is wide open. At center both are wide open. As you pan from center to the bridge PUP for example, itdoesn't increase the bridge as it's already wide opn, it DECREASES the neck until the neck is completely shorted.

Check out Quilter amps. They do that.

Amp tone settings that are visibly digital and not analog (what the heck is "treble at 9:00" anyway?) with the ability to specifically set the "value" of the setting (e.g., "4.3" or "67%"). Also want to store those settings in memory with the ability to recall the settings with a push of a button (or my phone, if I want to get all Bluetooth on ya) - songs one through five on the setlist use Setting 1, six and seven use Setting 2, eight-to-ten back to Setting 1, etc.

Doesn’t the Bergantino head do that?

I wish more amps/preamps would adopt some variation of the Walter Woods "Tilt" function (...possibly with an additional center frequency sweep function). Basically something that takes whatever EQ curve you've dialed in with all the other tone knobs on the rig, and then rotates that curve around some center frequency so that everything south of fc gets boosted and everything north of fc gets attenuated. Or vice-versa.

So, for example, you've got your Perfect Tone™ dialed in, but then you say "Darn, if only this were just a little bit brighter!" rather than turning up the Treble, you just boost everything above that hinge point proportionally.
