Bass Rig/Setup

Im thinking about buying a new head and cab.
I was thinking about getting an Ashdown Little Giant 350 head with a Behringer Ultrabass BB210 cab and a Behringer MINI FBQ800 equalizer. Im not an expert at all with this sort of stuff so I need advice. :help: Will this setup work? Please leave a comment or if anyone has any suggestions of any other head and cab for under $800/€500/£400. Thanks :D

Whazzup Wazzabang!
The Ashdown Little Giants look pretty cool, I haven't seen them here in the States yet but they are an interesting design for sure.

Personally, I would skip the equalizer and put that money towards a slightly better cabinet. I don't think a fancy equalizer is necessary (bass/mid/treble is plenty for me, just an opinion) and I haven't heard many good things about the reliability of the Behringer cabs. You would be better off getting an inexpensive used cabinet; here in the US you can find a big, loud, heavy Peavey cabinet in just about any music store for around $200. They are not pretty but they are indestructible. There must be an equivalent brand where you live. Good luck!

Ok I looked up the avatar cabs.. They look amazing! Ive sent them an email to see whether or not they ship to Ireland. Im looking at buying the avatar b410 neo 1000w. :bassist: I wasnt expecting to be buying a 1000w so will I need to get the ashdown giant little giant 1000 innstead of the little giant 350?
Or if anyone knows any good heads for $550?
I need a good set up with very good low end as I am in a threepiece with only 1 guitarist. :)
Thanks to everyone who has left a comment!

What's you aim with this rig? It's pretty compact. I'm guessing you're not doing big club dates? That head looks good and I'd skip the EQ. The head looks to have adequate shaping capabilities. As for the Behringer cab. I use one of them for open mic work. It's been a real trooper, in spite of all the bad press.I get a lot of compliments on it. (Of course I am running it with a B2 head) I was broke, the cab was cheap it hasn't let me down. My parameters were met, I have no complaints.I'd buy another if it does crap out, or at least re-load the speakers.
