Bass Strings Online is Closing

Wow, so sorry to hear, Jason has helped me out with special orders a number of times and I always appreciated his diligence and attention to detail. He was always willing to go that extra mile and seemed to always have a great suggestion ready for you. Jason will be sorely missed, but all the best to him as he moves forward in his journey.

Very sorry to hear it. I liked BSO whenever I did business with them. I'll be honest, though, it's a tough business model, because I also like to support my local brick-and-mortar store, and since I can't go buying $1000 basses on a regular basis, that usually would mean grabbing a spare set of strings there from time to time. Best luck to Jason in his next endeavor.

I'm also super bummed to hear this. In January I bought all the strings I'd need for this year. Just went and bought all I'd need for next year. I was about to buy the replacement Spector Euro5 bridge, with the intonation screws, in gold but that's no longer available. Jason I hope you have another plan in the works and really hope everything goes well for you in the future. You're a good guy and deserve the best. Good luck

Hi Jason, ok I'll bite. What caused this calamity? Were not enough people shopping from you?
None of our ******* business I think he politely said ;) . But I do know on my weirdarse orders he put in way more time than he got paid for so suspect he was working 80+ hours a week for less than what he can make at a "real job" in 40 hours. He just had a child (his first?) and I'm sure he'd rather spend those extra hours on his family than chasing unicorns for us crazy folks LOL.

I never had that dilemma - NOBODY carries strings I'd use (heavy gauge progressive tension short scale). Very few stores even carry ONE set of short scale strings so fork 'em :p.

And that definitely was one of BSO's great services - the unusual string. Back when I had a bass VI, it was about the only place I could buy a good set of strings for it.
