Bass tone not sounding right

Yes with all 3. Its almost as it the full frequency of the bass itself isn't coming through or is being hindered by something. No matter how I adjust EQ or gain or volume or whatever it still persists. When it first started I thought it might have been a blown speaker or something in my Fender combo but buying a new amp and having the issue persist debunks that

One from the bass to the first pedal in the chain and one from the output of the last pedal to the amp. The problem is still there even if the pedals aren't being used and these cables are instrument cables.

Does not being used, mean that you still have them in the chain?

Or do you mean going directly into the amp?

If they're in the chain, they're being used whether they're on or not.

well clearly *something* changed
the only way to know is to test each element in the signal chain
including the outlet you plug into

The EQ on the bass is flat and the treble on the amp is at about 1:00 and the high mid on the amp is at about 11:00. No effects, directly from bass to amp.

It sounds great to me.

It's gotta just be your room. Perceived sound. Or, your headphones/monitors you're using to record. Or, you're just deaf...like me. Only worse.
