Bass tones

I'm in a cover band, doing some 90s to 2000ish hard rock. My guitarist has a helix line 6. He can get on his phone and download his tone off a library by line 6, for the song we are playing. I have a couple of processors, boss gt1b and the line 6 hd500x. No where is this ability available for bass. I have research and dail in each tone. There must be a better way! So my question is do any of you know of a way to download bass tones from a community as a template? Or even a better way to find a better resource to find what tones the bassist use?

You can use a Helix for bass, but I don't think the online libraries are nearly as extensive. I use an HX Stomp because it's cheaper and I don't need all the buttons and blocks.

Your post interests me, as I've never had much interest in changing tone for song to song. I'd be afraid of driving the sound man crazy.

Does that problem actually come up, though? How do you address or avoid it?

The boss gt1b has the "tone central" website where you can download various tones..

There's a plugin for ipad called Tonebridge where you can look up a song and select the effect and it will match the recording pretty reasonably. They have a nice bass library too.
