Wow! This evokes a very specific memory. Late October 1971, I was sitting on a DC-8 at the end of the runway ready to leave Viet Nam. With the exception of the roar of the engines, the cabin was dead silent. As soon as the rear wheels lifted off the runway the plane erupted in cheers. And at just that moment, the flight crew played this over the intercom system and cranked up the volume. I've loved this song ever since. Thanks for the memories!
