Bass VI question

Anyone here that uses a 30" scale 6 string bass or a similar kind of instrument ever try to find a B string for it? Is the tension just not enough on a 30" to warrant finding a suitable string or making one?

the ibanez sr7viisc uses a .120
apparently That's ~18 lbs of tension, about the same as a .046" low E on a Les Paul.
