After a bit of a snow drought, we got a bit of snow and it warmed up a bit last weekend. We do have a groomer for the trail system I use most (and am involved in building and maintenance of) but there are a couple of trails that have bits that are too steep for the groomer and often have exposed rocks on them, so Sunday morning I grabbed my snowshoes and a shovel with the intention of grooming up those sections. I shaped up the transitions for the rock rolls and filled in the postholes and stomped down the rest of the tread. It froze up Sunday night and has been cold ever since. The result was maximum fun:
