Basses known for growl

My Lakland Decade has a little body and a big growl.

Really? Surprisingly that's one of the last basses I'd have gone to for a growly tone. I LOVED the chi-sonics when I played the hollowbody that was made in conjunction with MTD, but I haven't had the chance to try the decade or any other Lakland with the dual single or humbucking chi-sonics in action :bawl:. You should post a video =D

Best regards,

Brooks

Ok, please don't hate on me for posting this song. This came through pandora for some reason, and THE BASS sound is SICK!

Again, don't listen to anything else. Although after listening to some other JT stuff, the bassist he has is pretty damn good. Gotta dig that growly tone though.

Best regards,

Brooks

Synth bass (keyboard), no question about it.

Here ya go.
Lakland decade

Growl, warmth, depth, clarity, punch, oomph, mwah, these are sounds that I like.

Boom, zing, honk, fizz, dark, these are some of the same sounds when I no longer like them.

Self-invented onomatopoeic nonsense that we use constantly but really can't be conveyed in written language. I sympathize with the OP's query but have no idea what he means.:help:

Sexy, however, that has to mean a jazz bass.... right?;)

I can hear it hidden in there. I think some of what we may perceive as growl coming through is a little camera signal distortion, BUT I do hear some growl which only gives me hope! I LOVE that unique body styling and with the pickups it's gotta be a dynamite bass. With NAMM coming up though, if music shops don't have the Laklands that you want to play in stock it wont be for a while since Lakland isn't taking orders apparently right now due to NAMM. I want to play one!

Best regards,

Brooks
