Basses on the Couch

Threads like this are a good excuse to get em all out at the same time.

How you like your Dean EABC?
I invite you to Dean Club!!!
I like it! I’ll stop by and leave my review :)

The Rumble just sounds that good! Why spend double or triple I say. I haven’t used my Genz-Benz or my GK Fusion 800 (both awesome amps) since I got the Rumble.
That’s what I say about my basses! Happily thumping on my Squier and MIM fender. My BL has been leaning on me to get a Genzler, Mark or something like that. But I like my Rumble!

You should refinish the legs on that couch with a nice satin stain.
Thanks for the suggestion, but, there's two reasons I can't:
1.) This is not my couch, it's in a photo studio, and
2.) The photographer who ran this workshop no longer uses this studio. It was on West 28th Street, the current studio is near 42nd Street and 12th Avenue.
Do you know how hard it is to get to 42nd & 12th? :(
Also, I don't think Veronika is modeling anymore; she's gone into designing.
Good for her!
She really is a nice girl.

I think you and @BK bassist might want to compare your Ric collections

still drooling!

:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:
Thanks! Me and David are online Rickenbuddies, his collection is about 5 (?) times what i have.
My Ricks currently are a Cheyenne 1, a Cii, 2 Laredos, and a ‘74 4000.
And Peter @RickenbackeR Farm also has a fabulous herd of Ricks, including a pair of 4004s i’d love to write a bad check for!

This thread is going to make me create a new "Bass Family Picture." I need to get some extra lighting in the music room.

Here's my OLD bass family (couch) pic from 2014. I only have the neck from sunburst jazz and the body of the white jazz left. I REALLY wish I still have those 2 SBMM basses. I've also moved.....AND no longer have that couch. :) I have 14 basses now, so I'll have to figure out how to get them all in the same shot.

That Spector is beautiful.

Yes it was. The EMG pickups sounded awesome. The combination of body size and shape made it feel like it was longer than a 34" scale. Felt like I had to stretch further for the first position. It just wasn't for me.
Interesting! I’ve never had the opportunity to play one, so i’ve always been curious about them.
I’ve had a few basses that stretched the limits of my left arm’s reach like that, and sold them.
