Basses on the Couch

Nice! Lot of similarity in the Zon/Fodera body shape.
They are close. The body on the Zon is a bit narrower then the Fodera. I actually just got the Zon, bought it from Jason Newsted. I think Zon gave it to him, he played around with it for a week and put it in the case. That was 25 years ago! The bass is like brand new!

Actually not at all. Not even close to Memphis, about 5 hours away. But I love the history and magic that Memphis has as far as music. That whole swath down the Mississippi river from Memphis to New Orleans is musical magic. Always has been, from the days of Robert Johnson to today with one of my current favorites, Bishop Gunn. Nothing like the deep south when it comes to music.

I so agree with your sentiments. Memphis is the real deal. I also enjoyed Clarksdale, Mississippi. My wife and I spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Shack Up Inn. What a great vibe that whole region affords. It's been a few years, might be time for another visit (:

It doesnt get anymore old school blues than Clarksdale, IMO. Probably where I'm going to take my next vacation.

The gang was hanging out on the couch watching TV, so shot a quick photo!
