Basses that command authority on stage

I wouldn't say it commands authority but my G&L ASAT drew a mixed response last gig( first with it) lots of sounds great did you get it custom made, a guitar body with a bass neck??

the bass player from the other band we played with was drooling all over her through.
This sort of matches my experience when I play the ASAT semihollow fretless. Clear orange with ebony board and matching headstock combined with a distinctive MASSIVE tone. I get comments, especially from other musicians.

A little less visual, but even more tonally captivating, is the L-1505. This one evokes positive comments too.

In the right hands, any bass commands authoirity onstage. In the wrong hands any bass can just bring laughter and thinning audiance. Lol. But for one of the most authoritive basses around, theres plenty, I'll nominate J Turners costom doublenck mosntrousity, lovely monstrocity at that. Lol.
