Another vote for Warwick. The one I liked was a Jazzman, an older specimen. I don't know if the newer ones differ, but this one did not have the chunky, blocky neck feel or the lack of midrange I've noted in all other models.

warwick. i've had 20 or so. they are the best playing basses i've had. don't quite ever get the tones i'm after though. absolutely love them though. i just need a warwick monarch. lol.

I hate on Jazz Basses. Offset looks and feels weird.

Pretty much me too but in the "love to hate" vein I do like the idea behind the Reggie Hamilton Jazz.

I'm just going to close this. Almost half the posts in it are already breaking the "no ugly bass comments unless you own it" rule, and others are just plainly dissing brands without respectfully mentioning why you dislike particular models.
