This thread is very interesting. I love seeing all the classics and road worns. What's especially interesting to me though is the absence of the boutique "exotics" like Ken Smith, pre-Gib Tobias, etc. It's interesting how much gravitation there is towards the old standards: Fender, MusicMan, Peavey, Gibson etc.

Maybe you missed my post from October. Four boutiques. On the other hand I never say never. I just make certain my "sale price" is obnoxious enough that nobody would ever meet it.

It would take some extraordinary circumstances to get me to part with any of these....

I'll never let this one go unless I get in a situation where I need a brain transplant. I actually put it it up for sale in the mid-80's for $400.00 IIRC but luckily for me the guy never showed up to look at it.

I always said that I would never sell the 1978 Jazz bass I had from 1981 until 1984. Unfortunately, my drummer took care of that for me. He stole the bass and sold it. He eventually paid me but I have never seen a bass like it since. Sienna sunburst, white pickguard, white pickups, maple fretboard with block inlays. It was one of the best sounding basses I have ever heard.

i'll never sell this Charvel because it's worth a lot more to me than it would be to sell it after all the mods and has become my main bass:

I wouldn't sell this Kramer because although there are a lot of Forum3's out there, I never saw a lefty Forum for sale with the NS2A setup.

I'd never sell this because it was one of those Jacksons they never exported out of Japan, so it was never in the US/UK catalog and I never saw another one anywhere ever.
