One more for ya.........this is a bass I should have never sold. However, I was lucky enough to get her back!!! Actually, I just took possession of her today. I bought this new from Bass Central in 07' and sent it to Carey for the Big Singles route and modification. And then, like a DA, I sold it to Halftooth:rollno: This is the only bass that has ever gave my Lakland a run for the money in regards to playability and tone. Never again, she stays with the Lakland!!!!

Let me ask you...have you ever played or owned an American MTD? I absolutely love my 435 and really miss my 535.

Is the playability of an Elrick similar? They seem to have a lot of design features in common.

Never owned an American MTD, Although the person I sold the bass to, which is the person I just bought it back from, has owned both. He goes by Halftooth on the board. Shoot him a PM, he might be able to help you. I have heard that some guys don't care for wenge necked Elricks. It seems that maple necks are preferred. I think for the $$, an Elrick is about the best bang for the buck.

I would never part with my Peavey Cirrus Custom Shop 5 string... pictured in my avatar.. just melts in my hand... same holds true for my sunburst Jazz 5 string with white pickguard... all other basses I have are fair game...
