Bassist for early Robert Palmer records

I have been listening to a lot of Robert Palmer ("Collected", a 2-disc Greatest Hits vinyl record). He is quite amazing! I kept noticing how great the bass playing is on the early (heck, the mid and late, as well) songs. Well... it is none other than James Jamerson! No wonder I liked it!

It wasn't all Jamerson, he shares bass duties on the Pressure Drop album with the great Kenny Gradney from Little Feat and wasn't even on the first album. Sneakin' Sally Through The Ally was split between George Porter and Gordon Edwards.
