I really don't care about his playing. Why did you think that I did?Originally posted by szvonek
Look, it's either poor technique because it hurts your playing, or because your wrist will contort into Elephant man shapes. Make up your minds people!!
Like a lot of people said, the guy learned a different technique and it works well for him...since when does everyone (RAM) care so much about Krist's health and wrist condition??!? He might not be a great bass player in some people's minds, but if I could play that well I would welcome some carpal tunnel!
I don't care about his health. I was taking a stand on his technique. The beginning of the thread identified that he plays very low. Then some TB'ers seemed to say that it was fine, and that he's a good bass player.Originally posted by szvonek
Not that you care about his playing, but about his health...I was more or less referring to this quote I guess:
"It's absolutely the worst possible position for the right wrist, to be bent in that manner! He's just asking for problems!!! "

I was just saying who cares about carpal tunnel if you can play like that. More of a self-deprecating comment than anything. Plus I get the sense from other posters (not you, RAM) of a tinge of jealousy for the guy since he made it and plays what they consider 'wrong.' That's all.
