I'd have to say Geddy Lee, he sounds like a woman at times but still, he's got a lot of intensity and general melody to his voice. A close second with McCartney. And I happen to like Les Claypool's singing voice, it adds to the oddness of Primus. I'd by no means rank him up as high as The Gedmaster or Paul, but still.

For my money, Glenn Hughes is the best singer in rock. Much of what you hear from Deep Purple was him over David Coverale ("Burn" comes to mind). Listen to some of his stuff with Trapeze, and you'll hear some blistering vocal work. Hughes/Thrall was great, and his solo material continues to showcase his voice over his bass playing.

I like Geddy Lee's voice. It seems to fit in with the style of music they play. I mean, he's no Frank Sinatra, but can you really imagine Frank Sinatra singing The Temples of Syrinx or something like that? Also Les Claypool for the same reason, his voice is just so appropriate for Primus's music.
Hmmm...........I would have to say my favorites would be Jack Bruce, Roger Waters, and Paul McCartney. In that order.
But one thing I am certainly positive of.........it's NOT Victor Wooten. My god, he needs to stick to bass playing and stop singing. Sheesh.

maybe he doesn't have the best singing voice, but i think that les claypool must have two brains in his head to play the stuff he does and sing lyrics that have nothing to do with what his bass is doing.
not by far, but the only singing bassist i herd are mark hoppous(sp?) i think he just sucks, and Duff

You really don't like Mark Hoppus' singing voice? I really like it, I think it is a great singing voice.
well, it's nothing special, it's good for his genre and blink but it just does'nt cut it with me for some reason
John Wetton - all it takes is to listen to "Starless" from King Crimson's "Red" album. To me that song is one of the greatest and yet unknown songs in Rock history.
