I wish somebody would start a "club" or some kind of group for illinois, chicago or midwest. Would help with gear swaps to avoid shipping cost.

that would be a great idea countbassiedad cuz i know shipping costs on speakers and things can get very expensive
Neenah, WI here. I wish I could talk about upcoming gigs, but the band broke up when everybody got day jobs. My current rig is pretty small - a Genz Benz 2x10, Carvin 500, Fender Jazz, Peavey Cirrus, and a Peavey Fury IV (The active VFL type).
