Bassists on the Uke?

Last night I played a garden benefit for a theatre company with Chalmers Doane's 4-man trio (it's a running gag) and James Hill sat in for much of the night on uke. It was a complete gas having two world-class ukulele players trading off jazz licks with each other, one on either side of the bass player. There was a photographer taking pictures so I hope I get one to post on TB.

Just picked up a Kala tenor :hyper:

It really is a lot of fun and I plan to take advantage of the portability. I tried a concert but the frets were a bit too tight for my fat hands :).

At some point I might look into a U-bass, they look like a lot of fun too but at the $500 price point it requires more thought.

Later
Rob

PS - my Kala is good for metal, I play Toxicity by SOAD on it, sounds pretty cool :bassist:
