bassists who don't like jaco

I don't get Jaco neither but i think it's because he can literally make his bass sing... As if when you hear it, you wouldn't guess that it's a bass guitar...

At LEAST that's what i think...

I'm TRYING to like Jaco here... Help me out!! :D

oh yeah, i think u hit the nail in the face. its very true that his bass doesnt sound like the regular bass guitar, how true

but maybe thats because i dont like that kind of sound thats y i dont think hes that good
 
Okay, how about we all try and NOT be jerks and make fun of this dude? Mature up a little everybody.

As for the second question, I don't really get the 'Jaco craze' either. IMO Billy Sheehan, Les Claypool, Flea, Cliff, ect...blow him away in their skill in playing bass.

That said, Jaco is not a bad bass player. In fact, he is a very good one, just not one that is so good he deserves the attention given to him.
