Bassists with Beards Club

Thanks. This is me now (haven't started on my morning ablutions, so be kind.)

I've had this beard since I was 19.
Absolutly no one I know now would even open the door to me without it...;)

It happened. This is the longest I've grown my chin hair out, and just a couple days ago I found a lone, stark, WHITE facial hair! Im 33. Not bald. Hairline hasn't moved. I'm not super hairy or shaggy, but I can grow it long up top if I want. I'm gonna yank it, but right now I have a lonely bright white hair on my chin.

My facial hair gene is admittedly not all there. Dad can't grow one. Mine doesn't completely connect. (We have some Cherokee in the family tree, so it could be that, because that specific family lineage has no pictures with beards).

Mine's red and patchy, but I trimmed it down to a musketeer look, with a beautiful, curled up mustache unconnected to a nice, healthy, long and growing chin piece. Think red Captain Morgan. Kind of.

I'm far too ashamed to take a number and I need to do some basic trimming before posting a pic. I'll save the evil white one for a picture before extracting the little bugger. I just can't believe I'm 33 and seem to be younger up top than down low.

Anyone else go gray downstairs before even showing signs of top floor thinning? Is this sole white one a harbinger? Am I due for a full face of white? Any unfortunate souls with young whites that dare spill their harrowing stories are welcome here to reveal the terrible future I shall become. Be brave. Help a brother out!

P.S. Some killer, completely inspiring beards in this thread. Keep it up and stay strong!

I think it's pretty common to get some gray in the beard first. As signs of aging go, a few gray beard hairs are pretty tame.
