Bassswitch IQ DI????

I will take the plane to Namm tomorrow morning and hope to be able to revert with news on availability in the US after the show.

Shipping is foreseen for mid march

Regards

Jacques

Looking forward towards it Jacques...

Cheers

Looks interesting! If I re-design my board, this could definitely act as a "brain"....

Lehle stuff is definitely not cheap! I imagine the Basswitch is going to be on the high-end of pedal prices. Of course, Lehle makes some of the best quality switchers out there too!

I just got done previewing the videos for the basswitch. Wow. great tone and what a tool. Technology has caught up to the bass players needs. And what are those cool little cabinets he is playing thru? Thanks Jacques

and it sounds far better than the Radial, trust me :)

Ha.

Fender basses sound far better than other basses. Trust me.

See how hollow that sounds coming from a Fender endorser? ;)
Define "better". I'm not even necessarily a huge fan of Radial products (they're great, I just don't personally use Radial stuff regularly).

Still, I've been very impressed with Lehle products. I'm sure the Basswitch will sound great! "Better"? Who's to say really... the market is big enough for everybody.

First of all, I am not a Basswitch endorser!

In this case I define better as "it doesn't mess with your clean sound" like the Bassbone does

Gotcha.

What does "mess with" mean?

I get being excited about a product, but it's always nice to put the initial exuberance in perspective!

Well scotch, it is not my intention to trash the Radial BassBone, any other floor preamp or other Radial products. In fact I amusing the JDI on an almost weekly basis and I like what it does (and doesn't do).

But my experience with the BassBone is clearly different. Even in its most neutral setting (channel 1 flat) my sound is being choked and not as transparent/neutral as with the Basswitch.

I am not an endorser, I have just been testing a Basswitch beta unit for 2 weeks in different settings (overdrive, synth, octaver->DI-> inear console, and traditional way: into the amp)

I'm not sure I get the DI out the right. Seems very counter intuitive on a pedal to have an output on the right side.

I guess if your going to use this as a master control you will probably design your board around it anyway so maybe a non issue.

To me it just seems strange.

On a lesser note I will also go on the record again that I do not comprehend why with few exceptions bass specific products are black on black with black and look like darth vader should own them.

One of my boyz is at NAMM... just sent a text from the BASSWITCH booth...

Jacques said, "About $500 and will ship mid-March...won't sell the floor units..."

$500 sounds about what i'd expect... not a bad price, but definitely an investment! Of course, if the di really sounds great, that makes up some value.
