Batman....again

Batman is cool when he's doing detective things. When he's beating people up I can't help but wonder why no one shoots him in his exposed mouth and chin. A bullet to the chin will do a lot of damage.
Because crooks are stupid, and the movie would only last 5 minutes otherwise. :D

It's hard to get excited about the Batman franchise anymore. But I guess the well-known characters in the DC Universe is much smaller than the Marvel Universe. I know there's a Flash movie in development, and we've really enjoyed the TV show, but they screwed up his costume in Justice League (Iron Man, anyone?) and made the character some dopey kid. Boo.

EDIT: How about a Robin/Nightwing movie? I'd go for that.

Seems like the best Batman films over the past 30 years have been the ones that feature a cool and/or bad*ss actor in the role of Bruce Wayne. Batman is cool and bad*ss, so I think you need and actor with similar, likable qualities to pull off the role and make the movie.

Minus that and a Batman flick has a high chance of being forgettable.

Yup, I'm looking at you Robert "Twilight Boy" Pattinson. :smug:

He's actually a really good actor. In interviews he's said that he thought the twilight movies were ridiculous from day one, he didn't understand his part, and thought it was creepy that a 100 year old vampire was obsessed with a 17 year old girl. Check out Good Times on Netflix. He's very talented.

That's what I was thinking too.
I had some interest in this movie, then when I heard it was that squiddy guy from the Twilight movies, I dismissed the notion.

I understand the Robert Pattinson skepticism. But he really is good. Twilight was ridiculous. He said in interviews he was told "you're in love with this girl and you don't understand why, but you also really want to kill her. Now go act." This movie might be garbage but it probably won't be his fault.

I have a soft spot for Batman, but I so badly want to see the 'detective' version, almost a Sherlock character, as they hit on in the comics occasionally. And that's what they promise with this movie, but I'm not seeing it in the trailer. But I guess trailers are not always reliable.

He was not bad in ‘The Lighthouse’ I must admit.
