BattleBots

1. Yeti
2. Defender
3. Mammoth
4. Rotator

5. Blip
6. Tantrum

7. Bloodsport
8. Subzero
:roflmao: My picks are the exact opposite, except Blip* & Tantrum. And Subzero in the Youtube round.

As I went 3 for 7** last week, I'm hoping for redemption this week. :roflmao: I'm still not putting money on it.

* My "handle" in the cyberworld is BlippyTheWonderSlug, so I have to pick Blip!

** I don't count the Youtube rounds.

We should both be thankful there's no money on the line! :smug:

Blip was the only one I was little fuzzy on. I looked it up and the BB site said Blip competed a few seasons ago... can't say I recall... but I'm gonna roll the dice as Rusty never brought the pain last year.

Some of my picks panned out tonight... others didn't... haha! :D

Couple of great examples this week on why these teams should enclose their tires. When a bot can't move, it's gonna be picked apart or counted out.

Blip was the most impressive tonight -- lotta power in that one.

Bloodsport was a disappointment.

Anyone know how to view the "YouTube exclusive" fight? I searched on YouTube... didn't come up with anything.

I didn't even bother counting up how many I predicted correctly last week... but I turned in another lackluster round of picks = oooph. :D

Fusion looked solid last week. Those kids from Wisconsin (Team Whyachi which includes Fusion, Hydra and Son of Whyachi) usually don't disappoint.

The Brazilians with Black Dragon are good fighters. They use smarts to and speed to rush at their opponent and dismantle them. They got a good 'bot, too. They'll be around at the end...

Uppercut is still absolutely sick. Over the past two years, that's been a team that regularly impresses me.

I couldn't download the fights until this morning.

Another round of spectacular fights! I went 4/7 this week. Which brings me to 13/21. Not great, but still on the plus side.

My picks:
  • Malice
  • Ribbot
  • Blade
  • Tombstone (simulataneous KO, judges decision)
  • Tantrum (if Lucky had left Tantrum hung up on the wall instead of booting it back into the arena, it may very well have gone the other way)
  • (pick 'em) (Glitch by decision)
  • (pick 'em) (Sawblaze!!! Wow!)
  • Rampage - TBD
w00t! Some excellent and violent matches!

:roflmao: It's also become obvious to me that I have no aptitude for picking winners.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my picks in this week -- hands full with some personal matters.

I was able to catch the end of the re-air last night. Sawblaze looked mighty strong, although I believe the exposed wheels on their machine will cause issues down the road. Seems like such an easy fix to enclose with a couple of thin pieces of steel.

Btw, Claw Viper had it going on in last week's YouTube battle... HOLY COW!

Blarg. I forgot to post the fightcard. Which I didn't discover until I downloaded the fights. I'll try and do better next week.

I made picks before watching. Meh. As previously stated, it's a good thing i'm not a gambling man. I'm not gonna bother keeping further track of my abysmal picks.

Anyway... on to the fights-

Oh, my! (to borrow from George Takei) Upper Cut v Free Shipping (opener), and Endgame v Witch Doctor (main event) were brutal! I don't wanna spoil anything for those who haven't watched yet, so I'll just leave it at that.

Wow things have changed. I have vague/fond memories of son of whyachi obliterating stuff and forgot the Sklar brothers did the show when they were super young. Watching recent clips there are aerial drones with flamethrowers! Anyway, while I do not have cable I will find a way to follow. Willing to give it a shot at least!
