I watched it yesterday for the first time.

Really disappointed in the Championship show last night.

A few great fights, but...
Cobalt match was a letdown.
Hydra should have got the decision over Tantrum. I really came around to this team. I love watching 250 lb robots tossed around the box.
Minotaur should have been counted out, and their hissy fit at losing was unbecoming. Driver DeFrietas is a bit of a jerk.
Championship match was soooo disappointing. Freak damage to Witch Doctor early, and that was that.
Speaking of Witch Doctor, Andrea Galately is exceptionally adorable.

Well! It's been a while, hasn't it? But here we are. Welcome back, fans! Battlebots is once more giving us the mecha-mayhem we crave.
And mayhem the season opener was: ultraviolence at its finest. It was one of the most destructive bot brawls I have ever witnessed. I don't want to say too much cuzza spoilers and all that rot... suffice to say it was absolutely BRUTAL! Bot innards were on display for all to see.
I also like the new qualifier/tourney format. I see durability becoming a factor in future events. The days of having ample time until your next bout are over; now you have to potentially take on 4 foes in one evening just to earn a spot at the big kid table. If you can't hold it together, literally, you're gonna be toast. Au fromage.

Is that BattleBots Champions? I've got my youtube tv setup to record all Battlebots, which sometimes records repeats. It shows that as last season (season 6).
I have it recorded and will watch later (when I need a destruction "fix"). But I always believed my lawnmower could beat up your blender! Unless the blender is being used for Margaritas, then a fight delay might be necessary.

No. This is a new season, #7. The Quest for the Golden Bolt, I guess. 8 man single elim, followed by a 1 on 1 with a "gatekeeper", winner gets a seat at the big event later in the season.
Damn, my Roku didn't record anything new.
