Any ideas of what this bass model might be? Kinda Rick-ish. I thought it might be a prop but the guitarists are using real guitars.

Here are a some more images. Still can't make it out.
It's that 'White Knight' shown in the photo I posted, young fella holding was Stuart's bass player Marcus.

It was a custom build and I'm wracking my brain thinking who made it. Timing was too early for either Jimmy, Moon or Egypt, so I'm wondering if it was a John; both Birch and Diggins were active then.

Another photo for you.

I was hoping to find out who built it and any specs for it.
Given the time scale , mid 70's, John Birch's place in Birmingham was the go-to for custom guitars in the UK.

Tony Iommi and Geezer played John Birch guitars/basses. As did Dave Hill ( Super Yob) and Jim Lea from Slade.
John was responsible for the pickups while John Diggins ( JayDee) built the instruments. That last photo you posted , the pickups shown look very much like Birch's work.

Sadly both Johns have passed away but Woody is still active, you could just ask him for details via his FB account.

At first I couldn't make out the strange shaped upper horn but this pic clearly shows it's a stylized horses head. Pretty clever really - makes the whole upper body work as a horse profile. All it needs is a tail!
