Your's the blue face model with a push button switch and two knobs?
That's the one I have..I think it's the same one.
If so...then yes the newer ones have a few more options on them but I think they pretty much all do about the same thing from what I have heard of them.

My Studio Tech buddy prefers the older models.
He actually prefers the BBE 422 for Bass.

My fav. is the one with Noise Reduction: 362NR.
(can never find those on sale!)
